About The Business Reading Room

An independent, curated guide to business books, reading paths and learning options for people who build, manage and lead.

What this site is

The Business Reading Room helps you find business books worth your time. The library holds 380 titles across 12 topics: leadership, management, strategy, entrepreneurship, sales, marketing, productivity, psychology, finance, economics and business history, technology and AI, and operations, retail and FMCG. Alongside the books you will find reading paths, a directory of courses and events, and practical prompts for turning ideas into action.

It is not a bookstore. We do not sell or ship books. When you want a title, we send you to Amazon.

How the library is organised

Books are curated by topic and grouped into collections: Foundation / Essential (22), Core / Recommended (340), Recent / New thinking (18). Each topic page lists every title in that topic with a short guide to who it is for and how to put the ideas to work. Browse them all on the topics page.

Affiliate disclosure

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

The Business Reading Room is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.

In practice: the book links on this site are Amazon affiliate links. If you follow one and make a qualifying purchase, we may earn a small commission. It costs you nothing extra and it helps keep this site running. Affiliate links are marked as sponsored in the page code. We do not show Amazon prices, because prices and availability change; check the current price and edition on Amazon.

Udemy course links work the same way: Udemy links are affiliate links: we may earn a commission if you enrol, at no extra cost to you. Udemy's tracking technology may set cookies to attribute referrals.

Some outbound links in Learning & events may be referral links. Recommendations are selected independently, and availability, dates, prices and admission rules are set by the provider or organiser.

Book covers and data

Cover images and edition details are fetched from public book metadata services, including Open Library, Google Books and the Internet Archive. Covers, formats and editions can vary by bookseller and market.
